As everyone knows,English is very important today。It has been used everywhere in the world。It has bee the most mon language on Internet and for international trade。 If we can speak English。well,we will have more chance to succeed。Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed。
But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it。When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world。When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation。When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words。When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chines。
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream。I hope I can travel around the world one day。 With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries。I can see many places of great intrests。I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English。
I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us。
I know, Rome was not built in a day。 I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well。
If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable。 So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too。
I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!

On New Year's Eve, our class had a party。 The atmosphere was good。 It was out of the ordinary from the very begining。 The boy student from one bedroom gave an unusual performance。 We saw a boy named Li Xinmin turn off all the lights in a sudden snap。 Then with three resounding crow of a cock echoing in the hall, the hall was again brightly lit in a snap。
Then, the representative of the bedroom Zhu Guozhang asked us to guess a line of a poem related to the above situation。 He added that Li Xinmin alone was born in the year of the dog and the other three were all born in the year of the chicken。 They left us all in confusion。 And it was our monitor who was quickwitted。 He shouted our, “The day breaks as the cock crows three times at dawn! The hall After that, they had another item。
This time Li Xinmin was placed in the middle of the circle。 While he was standing there, the other three stood around him, each bowing down to him at an angle of 120 degrees。 It was an idiom。 This time I got it right:“The dog stands out among a group of chickens!
Then we all sang and played games until it was eleven o'clock at night。 The old man on night watch came to turn off the lights。 We had to tear ourselves away from the party。
From this activity, I discovered that many of our classmates are really talented singers。

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen:
I'd like to start with a group of pictures。
“Modern and advanced”This society forgets, and ignores the other two thirds of human beings。 It's far from the ideal! We call ideal as a utopian, a place where reality does not exist。 A few people still look forward to the ideals。 We make fun of them, considering they are naive。 Will we still be content to live in such a society, if misfortune drops to us? No! Of cause not!
When we feel the warmth of the sun, these people, endure great sorrows and pains。 Can we imagine that? They are our brother and sisters!
Facing them, will we still plain about our own misfortune?
Facing them, will we still have the mood shouting for our own freedom? Facing them, will we still want to have more and more unnecessary stuff?
They are unable to meet their needs, even the basic needs of survival! Everyone, as a member of humanity, shouldn't feel ashamed? Our luxury deprived their lives, our indifference violated our soul, and our barbarity destroyed human civilization!
What's the ideal society? It's a society no one worries about their living, a society no one is refused from education, a society everyone can pursue hisher own happiness! The ideal society is filled with love, joy and kindness。 In that society, we can touch the other's hearts, we can share our dreams and most important, we can just be the true men!
Let's break the ethnic divide, bridge the gap between rich and poor, hand in hand, to build a Great wall, protecting us from evil; to construct a steady bridge, connecting reality to the ideal society! Let's pursue for that, that's the only way to the bright future! They are watching us! Thank you!
Smoking is a greater cause of death and disability than any single disease, says the World Health Organisation。
According to their figures, it is responsible for approximately five million deaths worldwide every year。
Tobacco smoking is a known or probable cause of approximately 25 diseases, and even the WHO says that its impact on world health is not fully assessed。
Heart attack and stroke。
UK studies show that smokers in their 30s and 40s are five times more likely to have a heart attack than non'smokers。

Good morning/afternoon!
First thing first, I gotta say, wow,it's funny thing to be given a chance like that.Trurh be told,I really got a little bit nervous before I stand right here ,so called 'stage fright'.If you look specifically on me .You may find my hands shaking, pretty assembles the guy who suffered from Pakinson's disease, and legs wobbling ,like I caught so-called ball leg. Okay, let's stop going around the bush and get back to my topic today.I really like to talk a funny story I have just heard.
A lady called Lucy emigrated to United States several years ago.Her spoken English is not that fluent .And one day,she is just sitting on the couch with his U.S friends Mandy watching Sit-Com.A noise of bump had the attention of Mandy, which led her to go out of the house trying to figure out what had happened. Can you imagine that Mandy go straight out with merely a sweater. So Lucy shouted at her,"Lucy ,turn your clothes on." What suprised her most, beyond her wildest imagination, is that almost all the male in this country took their head out of the window.Admittedly,Lucy made a mistake here .The word spitted means Mandy is totally naked to the reason that male looked out of the window. The right sentence shall be,"put your clothing on."The story inspires you to take a careful look on the vast difference between eastern and western culture.
That's full of it,thank you for your time!

One day in 1819, 3,000 miles off the coast of Chile, in one of the most remote regions of the Pacific Ocean, 20 American sailors watched their ship flood with seawater。
They'd been struck by a sperm whale, which had ripped a catastrophic hole in the ship's hull。 As their ship began to sink beneath the swells, the men huddled together in three small whaleboats。
These men were 10,000 miles from home, more than 1,000 miles from the nearest scrap of land。 In their small boats, they carried only rudimentary navigational equipment and limited supplies of food and water。
These were the men of the whaleship Essex, whose story would later inspire parts of “Moby Dick。”
Even in today's world, their situation would be really dire, but think about how much worse it would have been then。
No one on land had any idea that anything had gone wrong。 No search party was ing to look for these men。 So most of us have never experienced a situation as frightening as the one in which these sailors found themselves, but we all know what it's like to be afraid。
We know how fear feels, but I'm not sure we spend enough time thinking about what our fears mean。
As we grow up, we're often encouraged to think of fear as a weakness, just another childish thing to discard like baby teeth or roller skates。
And I think it's no accident that we think this way。 Neuroscientists have actually shown that human beings are hard'wired to be optimists。
So maybe that's why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself。 “Don't worry,” we like to say to one another。 “Don't panic! In English, fear is something we conquer。 It's something we fight。
It's something we overe。 But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?
It's easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid。
When I was a child, I lived in California, which is, you know, mostly a very nice place to live, but for me as a child, California could also be a little scary。
I remember how frightening it was to see the chandelier that hung above our dining table swing back and forth during every minor earthquake, and I sometimes couldn't sleep at night, terrified that the Big One might strike while we were sleeping。
And what we say about kids who have fears like that is that they have a vivid imagination。 But at a certain point, most of us learn to leave these kinds of visions behind and grow up。
We learn that there are no monsters hiding under the bed, and not every earthquake brings buildings down。 But maybe it's no coincidence that some of our most creative minds fail to leave these kinds of fears behind as adults。
