考研一族寫作得分多--圖畫作文功能段落
今天我繼續(xù)講授大作文的復(fù)習(xí)方法---背誦和模仿功能段落。在2000年暑假講授考研寫作時(shí)就提出了考研英語ESSAY寫作十大學(xué)術(shù)功能段落的概念,從此成為各類考研寫作課的必講內(nèi)容。所謂功能段落,簡而言之,就是用于完成一個(gè)要點(diǎn)的表述的段落。以圖畫作文而言,通常包括三個(gè)要點(diǎn),那么它就包含三個(gè)功能段落:圖畫描述段、意義闡釋段與建議措施段。關(guān)于意義闡釋段,前面已經(jīng)有詳細(xì)論述,所以這里只給出圖畫描述段與建議措施段,可以背誦和模仿,與前面學(xué)習(xí)的套話相互補(bǔ)充。
圖畫描述段:
As is shown in the picture, trees play a vital role in water and soil conservation. In the left hand picture, people are fleeing from voracious sand dunes because they cut down all the trees. The caption reads, “As the sand advances, we retreat.” In the right hand picture, the people have returned carrying tools, water, and saplings for the reforestation of the land. The caption reds: “As we advance, the sand retreats.”
建議措施段:
In my opinion, it is imperative to take steps to reverse the disturbing trend illustrated in the charts. One measure would be to forbid the building of cities in areas where wildlife is threatened with extinction. But, more importantly, man must learn to stop polluting the environment, or he himself will become extinct.
上面兩個(gè)段落中的粗體字都是套話,第一個(gè)段落里的套話適合描述兩幅圖畫時(shí)使用,而第二個(gè)段落里的套話適合談?wù)撘粋(gè)社會問題的解決方案時(shí)使用。
除了圖畫作文,圖表作文與命題作文雖然不是大作文考試的重點(diǎn),但是也要了解一下。其實(shí)這三類作文是相通的,不過載體不同而已。關(guān)于圖表作文,考生可以看看1997年的作文。命題作文是1997年以前的考試題型,而且考生對它的寫法非常熟悉,因此無需贅述。
