Teaching aims: 1.Enable students can listen, speak, read :dinning room, music room, classroom sports centre, swimming pool, art room, shop, cafe,children’s bank,lake. 2.Enable students can skilled use the sentence patterns:(1).This is our school. It’s very beautiful. We’ve got….(2).This is the place where children can do… 3.Can simply describe their schools and the school environment and facilities. Teaching important points: 1.Prepare word cards::garden, playground, teacher’s office, library, dinning room, music room, sports centre, swimming pool, art room, shop, classroom 2. Prepare picture of DYFLPrimary school. 3. CAI. Teaching steps: Step1: Warm-up 1. Greetings 2. Guessing game It is white or brown,children like to eat it. It is yellow,monkeys like to eat it. Step2: Presentation and practice Show the picture of library,dining room,classrooms ,swimming pool,playground ,children’s bank,lake,cafe,as showing as asking:where is it?after pupils say the word,teacher should show the word card and spell it,then put it on the blackboard.(pay attention to following words:Art room/Sports Centre/Children’s Bank/lake) Point and read Games 1. Say and point Each group sends a pupil,teacher read the word and the pupils point to it. 2. What’s missing? Teacher quickly take out a word card,let pupils say it. 3. Where is…? At first,teacher should give pupils an example,ask one pupil to hold a word card,teacher says:Where is …? He’s in the…. Hard game: Still choose one pupil,don’t show placename,let others guess. Step 3 Practise 1. T:Do you remember these places?Alright,let’s say bye bye to them. Ss:Bye bye…. T:Oh,my god!I forgot the places.This is the place where children can sing songs,it is…(pretend to forget it),after pupil say the word,teacher should praise them:Mm,you’re better than me,I must put it on the blackboard,otherwise I might forget it. I will check your memory,who would dare to challenge me?(choose one pupil to stand back to others,teacher show others the word card,they read it ) 2. Read and match Look at part 2,rea the sentence by yourselves and choose the right places,then check out answers. 3. Make new sentences Work in groups,make new sentences according to part2.,then read your sentences ,let other groups answer it. Step 4 Consolidation 1. To draw a border,let pupils guess what it is?And show the placenames step by step ,as showing as reading each word.At last,write “school”,say: “Yes,it is a school,it is Qunxin School,look at part1,this is Qunxin school,can you tell me :What have they got ?”Choose pupils answer and lead them say like this:They’ve got…. 2.Work in groups (1)Read the sentences. (2) Complete omission parts Step5 Draw ,show and tell Look at part10,draw your school and try to introduce to your friends.
