Teaching difficult points 教學(xué)難點(diǎn) Enable the students to give reasons for their ambition. Step I Review Ask the students to talk about their ambitions. T: Yesterday we learned Mike’s and Peter’s ambitions. Now I’d like to learn about your ambitions. Who will be the first one? S1: I want to be a teacher. T: Why do you want to be a teacher? S1: Because a teacher can help lots of students. I like to help others. I also think teaching is fun. Step II Listen and answer Play the tape for students to listen with the question: What does Lucas want to do in the future? Step III Read I 1. Read and answer Ask the students to read the text carefully. Then work in groups and answer the questions on Page 74 in Activity Book 3. 2. Read and underline Ask the students to read the text again. Help them to underline the important phrases and explain them to the students. I want to be… My ambition is to be… That’s cool. At the very top I don’t think teachers are rich. It would be fun! be happy with What makes me happy? My work makes me happy. It would be great to have a happy family. 3. Practice Deal with Exx. 3 & 6 in Activity Book. These exercises will get the students prepared to talk about their own ambitions. Step IV Read II Ambitions (Part Two: Grandmother’s advice) in Activity Book 3 Ask the students to read the text and then work in groups to act it out. The members should include Mike, Peter, Krista, Krista’s bother and grandmother. Step V Homework 1. Finish off the remaining exercises in Lesson 37 in Activity Book 3. 2. Read and answer Ask the students to read the text carefully. Then work in groups and answer the questions on Page 76 in Activity Book 3. 2. Read and underline Ask the students to read the text again. Help them to underline the important phrases and explain them to the students. Step I Review Ask some students to read out their dreams. Step II Summarize Summarize what they have learned in Unit 5. Ask the students to do the exercises on Page 49. Then let them have a discussion about the problems that they still have in this unit. 2. Do exercises in Activity Book and then check the answers of Ex 1 on Page 80 with the whole class. Then students are given five minutes to finish Ex 2. Then check the answers. Step IV Read Ask the students to read the passage Our Future on Page 50. Then answer the given questions. If time is permitted, ask the students to talk about their life in ten or twenty years. Step V Homework 1. Go over Unit 5. 2. Write an e-mail to your e-pal to tell her your: age, address, hobby, ambition, telephone number… 教學(xué)反思: 第五課時(shí) I. Grammar 肯定句變否定句 1.陳述句的肯定句變否定句 (1)謂語動(dòng)詞是be,have(有)或謂語含有助動(dòng)詞、情態(tài)動(dòng)詞時(shí),直接在這些詞后加上否定詞not。 例:She can swim. → She cant swim. (2)謂語動(dòng)詞是行為動(dòng)詞時(shí),要在該動(dòng)詞前依主語情況加上do /does /did + not,該詞恢復(fù)原形。 例:He gets up early. → He doesnt get up early.
