一、【教學內容】
1. 本單元中心話題:本單元主要涉及的教學內容是“談論農事(Talking about the farming)”。
2. 語法內容:形容詞和副詞的比較級及最高級的運用。

二、【學習難點】
1. Why are you walking so fast? 為什么你走得那么快?
so + adj. or adv. 例如:so quickly, so big, so slowly.
So+ many / much/ few/ little + n.例如:so many students, so much water.
2. I have to get home to do my work.我必須到家干活。
(1) have to,不得不,必須。該詞組有人稱和數(shù)的變化。
例如:I have to do my homework.我得做作業(yè) 。 She has to wash clothes.她必須洗衣服。
I don’t have to do my homework.我不必做作業(yè) 。She doesn’t have to wash clothes.她不必洗衣服。
Do you have to do your homework?你得做家庭作業(yè) 嗎?Does she have to wash clothes?她得洗衣服嗎?
(2) get home 到家, get to 是到達的意思,此處home 是副詞,故省略to。
例如:I often get to school at seven. Does he get home early? She often gets here early.
3. Can I come and help you feed the animals?我能來幫你喂動物嗎?
help sb. do sth. 幫助某人干某事。此處do sth.是不定式,to 可以省略,也可以不省略。
Can you help me clean the room? 你能幫我打掃房間嗎?
I often help them (to) wash clothes.我經常幫助他們洗衣服?
4. My job is to feed the animals. “to feed the animals”是動詞不定式,作表語。
例如:His job is to clean the street.他的工作是掃大街。
Her job is to teach us English. 她的工作是教我們英語。
5. Comparison of adjectives and adverbs形容詞和副詞的比較
Tom is good. Tom是好的。 Jim is better. Jim更好。 Jack is the best. Jack最好。
Lucy works hard. Lucy工作努力。Lily works harder. Lily工作更努力。
Kate works the hardest. Kate工作最努力。
Which do you like better, this one or that one ? 這個和那個,你更喜歡哪個?
Which do you like best, the red one, the black one or the white one ?紅的,黑的和白的,你最喜歡哪個?
6. They don’t use animals to do farm work any more.他們不再用牲畜干農活了。
(1) use sth. to do sth.用某物做某事。
例如:We use brooms to clean the room.我們用苕子打掃房間。
They use pens to do their homework. 他們用鋼筆做作業(yè) 。
(2) not…any more,不再
例如:They don’t go to work any more.他們不再上班了。
7. In the country, he can hear birds singing and sheep bleating在鄉(xiāng)下,他能聽到鳥在歌唱,羊在叫。
hear sb. / sth. doing sth. 聽到某人( 某物 )在做某事。
例如:I hear them laughing.我聽到他們在大聲地笑。
Can you hear Tom talking? 你能聽到Tom 在講話嗎?
還可以有see / watch / find sb. doing sth. 看到/觀看到/發(fā)現(xiàn)某人在做某事。
8. John also likes the country better than the city. John對農村比對城市更喜歡。
like …better than…對…比對…更喜歡。
例如:I like tomatoes better than pumpkins. 我對西紅柿比對南瓜更喜歡。
She likes fish better than meat. 她對魚比對肉更喜歡。
9. He thinks the country is more beautiful than the city.他認為農村比城市更美麗。
the country is more beautiful than the city是一個賓語從句,作thinks的賓語。
例如:He thinks their corn is the most delicious. 他以為他們的谷物味道最鮮美。
their corn is the most delicious是賓語從句
John thinks Cody is the best dog of all.約翰認為Cody 是所有狗中最好的狗。
Cody is the best dog of all是賓語從句。
10. John agrees with Ji Wei. Jone 同意 Ji Wei 的看法。
agree with sb.同意某人的看法. I don’t agree with you.我不同意你的看法。
agree to one’s plan,同意某人的計劃。
11. go fishing 去釣魚,go skating 去溜冰,go shopping 去買東西,go hunting 去打獵
12. John thinks Cody is the best dog of all.約翰認為Cody是所有狗中最好的狗。
of all 在所有的中間,常用于含最高級的句子中。
例如:He is the tallest of all.他是所有的中間最高的。
She runs (the) fastest of all.她是所有的人中跑的最快的。副詞的最高級 the 可以省略。
13. Which do you like better, the city or the country? 城市和農村,你比較喜歡哪個?
前面是特殊疑問句,后面是選擇疑問句。
再如:Which do you like best, dogs, cats or chickens?狗、貓和雞,你最喜歡哪些?
14. She also thinks running in the country is the most interesting thing to do.
她也認為,在鄉(xiāng)下跑步是干的最有趣的事。
(1).running是動名詞,在賓語從句中作主語。
例如:She hears walking on the moon is very interesting.她聽說,最月球上散步很有趣。
(2) also 也,用再句中;too 也,用再句尾 。
14.“What are you going to do after you leave school?”“I’m going to college”
“你畢業(yè)后打算干什么?”“我打算上大學!
I’m going to college.中的be going 相當于be going to 結構。類似的有be leaving, be coming 等。
15. I want to learn how to get the most corn and wheat from each field.
我想學會如何從每塊地獲得最多的玉米和小麥。
a) want to do sth. , to do sth.是不定式
He wants to buy a pen.他想買支鋼筆。I want to go home.我想回家。
b) how to do sth.是帶有疑問詞的不定式。
I don’t know how to drive a car. 我不知道如何開汽車。
He doesn’t how to speak English.他不知道如何講英語。
We don’t know where to have lunch.我們不知道在哪兒吃午飯?

Teaching Steps教學步驟 :
Step 1Talk about the following questions.
1. Can you say something about a Chinese farm?
2. Do you think a Chinese farm and an American farm are the same? Why or why not?
3. What grows on the farm?
先讓學生充分討論,后由學生回答這些問題。
Step 2Learn some new words: grow, wheat, country, hear, bleat, agree with, corn, most, summer, winter, stop
先讓學生拼讀單詞,然后領讀,再讓學生自由朗讀,通過這一過程,培養(yǎng)學生學習單詞的能力。
提醒學生注意:here,副詞,這兒, hear, 動詞 聽見,聽到。
Step 3Listen to the tape and read the passage in Part 2 and tell if the sentences are right or wrong. (Workbook p.90)
讓學生積極主動地學習過程,培養(yǎng)學生地閱讀能力、理解能力,使學習過程成為學生學會學習的過程,并及時用鼓勵性語言評價學生的回答,把這一過程變?yōu)榕囵B(yǎng)學生學習英語的情感過程。
Step 4
對“TWO FARMS”進行分析,鞏固重點,解決難點。以學生提問、學生回答為主,培養(yǎng)學生發(fā)現(xiàn)問題、解決問題的能力。
1. They don’t use animals to do farm work any more.他們不再用牲畜干農活了。
(1) use sth. to do sth.用某物做某事。
例如:We use brooms to clean the room.我們用苕子打掃房間。
They use pens to do their homework. 他們用鋼筆做作業(yè) 。
(2) not…any more,不再
例如:They don’t go to work any more.他們不再上班了。
2.in the fields在田里,on the farm在農場

the country is more beautiful than the city是一個賓語從句,作thinks的賓語。
例如:He thinks their corn is the most delicious. 他以為他們的谷物味道最鮮美。
heir corn is the most delicious是賓語從句
John thinks Cody is the best dog of all.約翰認為Cody是所有狗中最好的狗。

可以用學習用品(筆、橡皮、小刀、書等)、水果、食物、顏色、動物及圖片進行練習。
通過這些訓練,使學生掌握比較級、最高級的運用。

【同步練習】做第二題時可以讓學生適當討論一下,做完后把練習收上來批改,然后在投影上進行核對,也可以不收上來直接核對。
一、用所給詞的適當形式填空:
