1.第一句話的漢語(yǔ)由兩個(gè)分句組成,句子較長(zhǎng),在譯成英文時(shí),可把它拆分成兩句!耙仓赴l(fā)源于中國(guó)的烹飪方式”可單獨(dú)譯成一句also refers to cooking styles originating fromChina,這樣可以更好的體現(xiàn)兩句的并列關(guān)系。
2.第二句話由三個(gè)分句組成。翻譯時(shí)將“中國(guó)菜流派眾多”譯為主句,“歷史悠久”用with a history of…來(lái)表達(dá),“主要代表菜系有…”則用非限制性定語(yǔ)從句表示。這樣可以使譯文結(jié)構(gòu)緊湊,句式多樣。
3.第三句中的“風(fēng)格各異”可以用be distinctive from表達(dá),比用have different styles更地道。
4.在“中國(guó)菜強(qiáng)調(diào)色、香、味俱佳”中,“色、香、味俱佳”的英文翻譯并沒(méi)有逐字的對(duì)應(yīng),因而增譯了combination,把漢語(yǔ)中暗含的意思完整地表達(dá)出來(lái)。

“中國(guó)制造”指在中國(guó)制造的商品所附的標(biāo)簽。由于中國(guó)有豐富的勞動(dòng)力資源和原材料資源等優(yōu)勢(shì),中國(guó)制造的產(chǎn)品物美價(jià)廉,受到世界各國(guó)的歡迎。中國(guó)的制造業(yè)迅速發(fā)展,“中國(guó)制造”已經(jīng)成為一個(gè)在全球廣受認(rèn)可的標(biāo)簽。目前中國(guó)已經(jīng)成為世界制造業(yè)的中心,被稱為“世界工廠”。盡管全球大量的電子產(chǎn)品和鞋都是中國(guó)制造,但這些產(chǎn)品的設(shè)計(jì)都是在歐美國(guó)家完成的,如今越來(lái)越多的中國(guó)公司致力于開(kāi)創(chuàng)自己的品牌。希望實(shí)現(xiàn)從“中國(guó)制造”到“中國(guó)設(shè)計(jì)”的轉(zhuǎn)變。

1.“由于中國(guó)有豐富的勞動(dòng)力資源…”,可以使用owing to是“受到世界各國(guó)的歡迎”的原因,翻譯時(shí)可以使用on account of引出理由,避免重復(fù)。
2.“中國(guó)的制造業(yè)迅速發(fā)展”與“中國(guó)制造”已經(jīng)成為一個(gè)在全球廣受認(rèn)識(shí)的標(biāo)簽”是因果關(guān)系,為避免與前面表達(dá)原因的短語(yǔ)重復(fù),可以使用短語(yǔ)thanks to…。
3.在“盡管全球大量的電子產(chǎn)品和鞋都是中國(guó)制造,但這些產(chǎn)品的設(shè)計(jì)都是在歐美國(guó)家完成的”中,“電子產(chǎn)品和鞋”是“制造”的受動(dòng)者,“設(shè)計(jì)”是“完成”的受動(dòng)者,故使用被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)來(lái)翻譯。
